About Canada

Comprising of 10 provinces and three territories, Canada is the second largest country with 7% of the world land mass. Extending from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and northward into the Arctic Ocean, Canada shares land borders with the United States to the south and with the US state of Alaska to the northwest.

Canada is a constitutional monarchy with Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada as head of state, and a parliamentary democracy with a federal system of parliamentary government.

Canada is a bilingual and multicultural country with English and French as official language. Non-official languages are important in Canada, with 5,202,245 people listing one as a first language. Some significant non-official first languages include Chinese, Italian, German, and Punjabi.

Canada is an ethnically diverse nation. According to the 2001 census, it has 34 ethnic groups with at least one hundred thousand members each. The largest ethnic group is “Canadian” (39.4%), followed by English (20.2%), French (15.8%), Scottish (14.0%), Irish (12.9%), German (9.3%), Italian (4.3%), Chinese (3.7%), Ukrainian (3.6%) and First Nations (3.4%).

Canada is one of the world’s wealthiest nations with a high per capita income, a member of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Group Eight (G8). Canada is a free market with slight government intervention, much less than most of the European countries.

Canadians adhere to a wide variety of religions, as people in Canada have the freedom of religion as one of their rights. According to 2001 census, 77.1% of Canadians identified as being Christians; of this, Catholics make up the largest group (43.6% of Canadians).

In Canada, the provinces and territories are responsible for education; thus Canada has no national department of education. The mandatory school age varies across Canada but generally ranges between the ages of 5-7 to 16-18,

Canadian culture has historically been heavily influenced by British, French and aboriginal culture and traditions, and over time has been greatly influenced by American culture because of the proximity between the two countries. Canadian culture has also been greatly influenced by more recent immigration of people from all over the world.

Canadian official national sports are ice hockey (ice hockey) and lacrosse (summer). Hockey is the national pass-time and also the most watched sport in the country. After hockey, other popular watched sports include Canadian football and curling.

Genocide in Canada

Genocide in Canada

The news media are often selective when it comes to reporting on many topics. The Holocaust and the inhuman way that Iraqi, and Afghan people were treated by their respective persecutors are front page stories selected many times because they serve a political agenda. They are continually slipped into articles and news bulletins on a regular and continuous basis, as and when they are needed for effect, or to mold public opinion in a certain way.

These stories make us [the North American public] gasp in disbelief, while at the same time we try to empathize with the sufferers. We are appalled and outraged that these despotic leaders can be so cruel to their subjects. Yet other stories of human suffering and genocide are all but totally ignored by the media. Examples would be the slaughter in East Timor, Rwanda, the US invasion of Panama and dozens of other places that produced atrocities.

At the time, the reporting of the East Timor massacre (supported by the US, CIA) amounted to one small article buried in the central pages of the newspaper. The death toll of civilians in Panama was reported but grossly understated. And let us not forget the way north American history is whitewashed, clinically sterilized, and changed in order for it to be taught in our US, and Canadian school systems. No mention of the genocide of native Americans in both Canada and the USA. No mention of bounty placed on the scalps of native men, women and children. No mention of the sterilization of native women (as recent as 1970). No mention of the acquisition of native land by the churches, and subsequent sale of the lands to logging companies. Because after all we are the good guys, we are the ones that help our US neighbours police the world.

We don’t have to send troops overseas to seek and correct injustice and corruption, or genocide. It is right here on our doorstep and it needs to be exposed. It needs to be accepted for what it is and it needs to be settled, it needs to taught. Because if we ignore history, as well as our sins we are doomed to repeat it.

In a continuing and tireless effort Rev. Kevin Annett has been fighting Government, RCMP, and church bureaucracy in Canada for the past 12 years. He has been fighting to uncover the facts surrounding the deaths of about 50,000 native American children in Residential Schools run by various churches ( places of so called sanctuary).

You will read and view images about how his efforts are now starting to break down the wall of lies and deception. He has finally forced his story and his cause into the mainstream media. People are now becoming aware of the past and ongoing injustices that occurred right here on Vancouver Island, in BC, and in the rest of Canada. Kevin whom I know personally has a very compelling movie “Unrepentant” that you can watch on Kevin’s website “Hidden From History” for free. Rev Kevin Annett is to be commended for his work and his tenacity in bringing this story to the world. View this news story at www.fortruth.org

Communism is supposedly socialism in a hurry. Since our “fabian socliast” version has taken a long time, we’re almost here. So, here in “Communist Canada”, especially in Toronto, we’re getting hit with a million new government ads and programs telling us what to do, including spearing-doody for the government. The “watermelon green” agenda is part of this. They say we have to give up all our stuff for the “greater good”. Same as commuism. They are living well at the top while the people are being told they have to suffer. Just like communism. They are centralizing power and control. Just like communism. The social indoctrination is another issue. If people know things are bad but don’t “do” or “say” much: we’ll be people who live in “communist” countries. Since lots of people are effectively fighting the “info-war” today, just figure out how and join in. Trouble in CommUNist Canada feat. Import Your New Car Into Canada Without A Broker

May 16th, 2010

Import Your New Car Into Canada Without A Broker

Simply put if you wish to import a car into Canada without a professional auto import broker’s help then you are going to have to follow Riv’s ( Canadian Registrar of Foreign Motor Vehicle’s ) as well as your local provincial or territory rules. Simple as that.

It is a misconception that almost all cars in the United States can be imported easily into Canada. You may have seen terrible news reports of angry and mystified car buyers held back at the Canadian border with a car that they cannot bring in or import into Canada. The key is to do your homework. Check the rules. Recheck. If in doubt it never hurts to be on the safe side and check once again – perhaps by email so there is written documentation. Otherwise you may in a position like those poor people on Canadian TV news. Intending to save money on a new or used car purchase, but with a car stuck on the American side of the border. No car imported in Canada. No cash.

Guess they will have to sell the car to a willing American buyer – perhaps for ease of sale sold on eBay. Again the key is to do your homework thoroughly.

If your vehicle that you plan to import into Canada is less than 15 years of age you will have to find out if it qualifies for importation under Transport Canada’s Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) program. The RIV’s program is set up to ensure that qualifying models imported into Canada are modified , inspected and certified to meet Canadian standards, You can most easily visit the Riv site online at http://www.riv.ca/ ,
Phone a toll free number, email or snail mail.

The key question to have answered on the Riv site or in direct communication with the Registrar of Imported Vehicles that your car, truck or S.U.V. is admissible for importation into Canada according to the gold standard – “Transport Canada’s List of Vehicles Admissible from the United States. Next it is essential totally that your vehicle is NOT on the Inadmissible List. This Transport Canada list is your bible for importation of your vehicle into Canada without a broker. Lastly ensure in the third column marked “notes” that there are no overriding further restriction in regards to your vehicle and that any modifications noted and insisted on in the column can be completed as well as accomplished within a cost factor within your choice and budget.

Assuming that you have accomplished all the above. Before your vehicle can leave the United Sates it must be cleared for export by U.S. Customs. Fax the bill of sale, title and relevant documents to the appropriate U.S. Customs office at least 72 hours prior to your arrival at U.S. / Canadian Border.

Your next process will be to clear Canadian authorities. Again if you have prepared the proper documentation – Bill of Sale , title , clearance letter from the U.S. Customs office and a recall clearance letter on official letterhead from the dealer or manufacturer of the vehicle stating that all recalls have been performed on the vehicle. You will be asked to pay approx $ 300 Riv fees at that time, GST (General Sales Tax) on the price of the vehicle. If your vehicle was manufactured in the NAFTA (North America Free Trade) areas of the United States, Canada or Mexico you will not pay additional import duties and taxes on the vehicle, which are generally about 6 %. Depending on your geography and jurisdiction you may or may not have to pay provincial sales tax at the time point or later when the car is registered and licensed. Lastly if your car has air conditioning installed you will be asked to pay an excise fee of $ 100.

You cross the border and you are almost home free. Riv has appointed the national automotive chain Canadian Tire to conduct the final inspection of your vehicle and perform any modifications required. The fee of inspection is included in the Riv fee at the border. Any modifications or work necessary is at your expense. In the case of some luxury brands inspection, modification and certification can only be done at factory authorized retailer. You can only be given the essential recall clearance letter until this authorized dealership route is completed.

You are now cleared, almost at the successful completion of importing your new car into Canada, without a broker. The final step is to register and license your new vehicle in your local provincial or territorial area. You have imported your new vehicle – all without a professional import car broker
